Vessel Requirements

The vessel requirements for vessels fishing for NAFO regulated species in the NAFO Regulatory Area are outlined in Chapter III of the NAFO Conservation and Enforcement Measures. The requirements include:

  • Notification (NOT)
  • Authorization (AUT)
  • IMO (International Maritime Organization) number for eligible vessels
  • Markings
  • Documentation
  • Capacity plan
  • Chartering arrangements
  • Reporting Requirements
